Nigerian singer Joshua Iniyezo, popularly known by his stage name Solidstar, is battling mental health issues, his younger brother Joseph said. Joseph, took to Solidstar’s official Instagram account to share a video shedding light on the singer’s current state.

Solidstar has been dealing with serious health issues for a while, and Joseph disclosed in the video message that the toll on his mental health has been a big reason for his current absence from the music scene.

He made an appeal for support during this difficult time to the singer\’s friends, followers, and the general public. Solidstar\’s brother disclosed that the family had already spent a significant amount of money in an effort to aid his rehabilitation and expressed the family\’s concern over his deteriorating health condition.

Joseph also apologised on behalf of his brother, acknowledging that Solidstar may have unintentionally offended friends and associates due to the mental health challenges he is confronting.

“We thought we could sort the issue internally, and we tried our best, but please, we need your help.”

He appealed to the singer’s colleagues, fans, and the general public, for financial assistance as he shared his account details and phone number.

Last year, Solid Star publicly admitted that his addiction to crystal ice, pills, and cigarettes had almost cost him his life.

Solid Star is well known for his song \”One in a Million,\” in which the highly regarded Nigerian music superstar 2face Idibia was a featured artist. One in a Million was popular and frequently played on numerous music channels, as well as placing highly on several music charts.

Solid Star attended Goriola Primary and Oshodi Secondary Schools, Tolu Complex, Olodi Apapa, Lagos State, where he was raised. Solid Star was born and raised in Lagos, Ajegunle.

The inspiration for Solid Star\’s music came from his passion for music and his desire to play at street fairs and carnivals. He first met Ossy Achievas at these performances, and they later partnered to form his current record company, Achievas Entertainment Co. Nigeria Ltd.

He is a gifted afro-pop singer and composer who has shared the stage with some of the biggest artists in the business, such as 2face Idibia, Wizkid, Ice Prince, Skales, and Jesse Jagz.
