DR. REUBEN ABATI’S HUMOROUS RESPONSE TO FOLLOWER'S QUERY ABOUT HIS MARRIAGE

Journalist and TV presenter Dr. Reuben Abati recently engaged with his social media followers in a lighthearted manner, responding to a curious comment about his marriage. While sharing vacation photos from London with his family, Abati used the caption, “From Families to Families. Famsing my Family for Life,” celebrating his time with loved ones.

A follower, @mrrbrainz, expressed surprise at the union between Abati and his wife, Kikelomo Atanda-Owo, questioning, “Dr. Abati, how did you marry this lady? No be say you even get money. So what happened?” This remark implied that Abati’s perceived lack of wealth made the match seem unlikely.

In a playful and humorous retort, Abati replied, “All you all know is money. Na juju I use marry her,” accompanied by laughing emojis. His response was meant to deflect the serious nature of the inquiry and inject some humor into the conversation.

The comment sparked a reaction from another follower, @femab2005, who defended Abati against the insinuations of financial inadequacy. They pointed out Abati’s notable career achievements, including his work with Arise TV and his role as a special adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan, challenging the assumption that he lacks financial resources.

Abati, aged 58, hails from Ogun State and was also the PDP’s deputy governor candidate in the 2019 gubernatorial election. He and Kikelomo Atanda-Owo recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary, marking a milestone in their relationship. The exchange highlights not only Abati’s sense of humor but also the public’s curiosity about the personal lives of prominent figure
