His music is varied and fits within the genres of Afrobeats, HighLife, R&B, and Hip-Hop. With tracks like Oh Yeah, Selfish, and Tokyo, he became one of the pioneers of the new school of Afrobeat new waves.

Early Life & Education
King Promise was born on August 16, 1995, in Greater Accra Region, Ghana, to businessman Francis Newman (father) and Angela Quaye (mother). She has a sibling whose identity has not been revealed to the public.
He received his basic and secondary schooling at St. Anthony Academy in Accra, Ghana. He was then transferred to Nungua Senior High School, where he received his senior high school diploma.
King Promise continued his education at the Central University of Ghana, receiving a degree in information studies and economics in 2016. Despite being academically successful, he has now focused on music.

Career
Thank God, the debut single by multi-talented songwriter and musical prodigy King Promise, which featured Fuse ODG and was produced by KillBeatz, was released in 2016.
KillBeatz\’s Legacy Life Entertainment (LLE) label has signed him to a recording contract. Gervin Ohene Addo is the label\’s current manager.
Mr. Eazi, Scientific, J-Town, Adina, Pappy Kojo, Fuse ODG, and many other renowned musicians have worked with King Promise. He partnered with Sarkodie on DJ Vision\’s hit song Double Trouble.

King Promise was nominated for and received awards for his first hit record. Among other notable achievements, he was named \”Hiplife Song Of The Year\” at the 2019 3Music Awards.
He was also voted Best Male Vocalist at the Ghana Music Awards UK. In 2018, he was nominated for Artiste of the Year and Highlife Song of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

In an interview, King Promise discusses his personal life, stating that he has never had a girlfriend and that he prefers staying indoors to going on dates.
According to the artist, the last date he had was in 2005, and he had it twice. No claims have been made since then proving that King Promise is in a relationship.
