While telling the authorities about her ordeal, the young girl, a primary six student at a public elementary school, stated she couldn\’t remember how many times her stepfather had slept with her.
She claimed that each time they had sex, the suspect threatened to kill her if she told anyone about their relationship.
The girl said, \”Daddy always comes to me when mummy is not at home, and warned me not to tell anybody so that I won\’t die.\”
When the child told her brothers about her encounter, they notified their mother, who then made the secret public.
According to a police source, when the suspect was tracked to his hiding place in the Abeokuta neighborhood of Onikolobo, a political godfather whose name he omitted intervened to prevent his capture.
The victim\’s mother, Mrs. Adiat Ibraheem, expressed her confusion over why her husband would conduct such a heinous murder at the police station while sobbing uncontrollably.
A medical examination of the girl indicated that she had had her virginity altered.
Mrs. Peju Osoba, the coordinator of the Child Protection Network, stated that the network is interested in the situation.
\”We were made aware of the incident, and as part of our goal, we resolve to take up the matter, even to the point of going to court,\” she said. Why would a rational individual act in such a way is ludicrous?
