American famous rapper, NBA Youngboy is currently facing a 7 years jail term in prison in a federal firearms case. He was arrested In March of 2021, by the Los Angeles\’ authorities due to gun charges from his September 2020 arrest, in his hometown of Baton Rouge. Youngboy reportedly fled from police In LA, but was found by a K-9. Youngboy was then able free himself in October but remains on house arrest in Utah.

According to a report by Rolling Stone, Youngboy\’s trial date is now officially fixed for May 16, for these federal firearms charges, and he is facing seven years in prison.

Recently, some video clip evidences were ruled ineligible though, in favor of Youngboy. The video evidence is said to be evidence on SB memory cards, which were improperly seized by Baton Rouge police outside of Youngboy\’s grandfather\’s home. A valid warrant was presented at the time of Youngboy\’s arrest, in Baton Rouge.

An officer at the scene also claimed that Youngboy was brandishing a weapon at his video shoot. A 9/11 caller was who provided that information to the officer.

“We\’re 100 percent convinced of his innocence, and now we have to continue to evaluate our strategy,” said attorney Drew Findling. “The unconstitutionality of law enforcement was clearly evident to the court and resulted in a slew of evidence of being thrown out. We\’re looking forward to going to court.”

Criminal history

The American rapper has been arrested on several occasions in time past. In September of 2020, he was arrested on drug and weapon possession charges along with 15 others. The police searched three of seven vehicles and later sought a warrant to search the rest and found the following:

  • Three grams of marijuana
  • One dose of Hydrocodone in a clear bag
  • Several handguns and rifles, including an AK-47
  • Digital scales Xanax
  • Large sums of cash
